Sandy was a truly World Class fullback who was a credit to the club with his strong, elegant, fast and scrupulously fair play.

Twice Scottish Player of the Year, Sandy was a key man in the Treble teams of 1976 and 1978 as well as the victory in Barcelona. Only John Greig made more appearances than Jardine post-war.
